Welcome to the 1949 Tour de France In Pictures. Culled from the pages of Miroir Sprint, But et Club, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Match, and other sources, this album is my tribute to what many agree was the greatest Tour de France of it's era.
This is a pretty big project, so I can't promise daily updates, but I'll try to add two or three stage reports each week. This is going to be a huge album (75 pictures from the first stage alone!) so take your time, and enjoy.
