Louis Aimar

Louis Aimar on his way to winning the 1941 Grand Prix des Nations. Aimar was French pursuit champion, and wears his champion's jersey for this time trial. The bike is probably a Terrot, though I can't make any sense of the decal above the pump holder. Note the arms like Popeye, braze-on shift lever, relatively small tires for the era, Pelissier-type thorn catcher on rear brake. From "Le Miroir des Sports" new series No.24, 15 September 1941.
