Magni's long-levered Cambio Corsa shifters

During the 1949 Tour de France, Fiorenzo Magni (and perhaps the rest of the Italian B team) used two completely different shifting arrangements for different stages. For the mountainous stage 17, they used these long-levered Campagnolo cambio Corsa shifters in combination with Simplex "suicide" front derailleurs. Here Fiorenzo Magni, with the assistance of two young spectators, replaces a dropped chain on his Wilier - La Triestina. Looks like he has two tubulars beneath the saddle, in addition to the one looped around his shoulders.
From "La Gazzetta dello Sport - 200 Momenti Fotografici del 'Tour' 1949" by Emilio De Martino.
