A bicycle tournament will be inaugurated to-night at the [[old Pavilion at Sacramento]]. The "League of Champions" will participate.

The report has been sent in that [[Morgan]] and [[Woodside]] are seriously contemplating a run from Chicago to this city some time during the coming Spring. They are to ride their machines every practicable foot of the way.

Since the [[San Francisco Bicycle Club]] undertook to erect a wheel and club house, the Citizens' Club of New York has signified its intention of doing likewise, and to insure its immediate erection Fred Bourne of that city has subscribed $10,000.

The annual election and banquet of the [[Oakland Bicycle Club|Oakland Club]] was held a week ago yesterday. The following officers were reelected: President and Captain, [[George H. Strong]]; Vice-President, [[W. H. Bunker]]; First Lieutenant, [[W. H. Lowden]] ; Second Lieutenant, [[W. H. Taylor]] ; Third Lieutenant, [[George L. King]]; Secretary and Treasurer, the indefatigable [[W. C. Gibbs]]. After all business had been dispatched the club adjourned to a restaurant, where an elegant repast was spread. Speeches were made by Messrs. [[Yale]], [[Booth]], [[Burkhalter]], [[Bunker]] and [[Taylor]]. Messrs. [[Collingham]] and [[W. C. Gibbs|Gibbs]] took charge of the musical portion of the programme.
