WHEEL WHIRLS.

The Bikers Are Enjoying Themselves These Fine Days.

Thomas H. Varney has opened a cyclery on Twelfth street, between Franklin and Webster.

The Oakland Bicycle Club will hold a run to Haywards next Sunday. Dinner will be served the boys at the hotel.

New Broadway is the popular place for new and old riders.

The Alameda County Wheelmen have adopted a new cap with a white diamond sewed in the crown.

The Oakland riders are commencing to take long rides. Last week some of the boys took a trip to Mount Hamilton.

A few days ago some vandals entered the clubrooms of the Alameda County Wheelmen and destroyed all the pictures in sight and otherwise damaged property of the club.

The Oakland Bicycle Club are talking of holding a road race on November 26th. They will invite all the unattached wheelmen to participate in the races.

The sidewalk ordinance is still before the Council. The club boys are very anxious to get it passed, as they are continually being blamed for the actions of novices.
